Foxy Brown syrup brings brown butter, brown sugar and vanilla to the drinks menu, while Nikki Gingervanni uses ginger, rosemary and cinnamon. Either syrup can be bought in a take-home bottle. Locally roasted beans underpin the coffee selection, and matcha, fruit smoothies and herbal tea blends offer other ways to order.

Charlotte native Cheryse Terry raised forty thousand dollars in forty days through grassroots fundraising to launch Archive in 2022. Her work grew out of more than a decade collecting Black memorabilia. The café describes itself as a cultural hub first, with preservation and storytelling at the center of the business.

Vintage Ebony magazines are part of the browsing experience, and labeled books and memorabilia are available to buy. The space also accepts donations of Black-centered books, art books and older magazines by arrangement. Find it in Suite 500 at 2023 Beatties Ford Road; it operates during the day and closes on Wednesdays.
