Fenwick’s has been part of the Providence Road neighborhood since 1984. Its broad comfort-food menu and long history make it a familiar neighborhood dinner stop. Service runs Monday through Saturday, with Sunday reserved as a closed day.
Tomato bisque can be ordered by the cup or as a bowl with a muffin, and croissant sandwiches range from chicken salad to ham and cheddar. At dinner, Chicken Fenwick pairs grilled chicken with Swiss cheese and sautéed mushrooms. Carolina Chicken uses jalapeño pimento cheese and bacon, offering a distinctly different version of a chicken plate.
Lunch falls in a moderate price range, while trout, salmon and other dinner entrées require a larger budget. The fish preparations include blackened or lemon-pepper trout and salmon with cucumber-dill sauce. Bread pudding with whiskey sauce, pecan pie and Key lime pie provide several ways to linger over dessert; daily specials add choices beyond the regular menu.
