A doughnut cake here is built from three enormous Texas doughnuts and a matching doughnut hole, layered with vanilla cream. At roughly eight inches across, it turns a familiar morning pastry into a dessert to share. These made-to-order creations require at least forty-eight hours’ notice, and a vegan version uses vanilla buttercream.
Kitchen Sink cookies combine candy, potato chips, pretzels, butterscotch, graham crumbs and ground coffee. The salted caramel brownie pairs dark chocolate with homemade caramel and Maldon salt, while guava pastelitos wrap fruit filling in glazed puff pastry. The case also extends to cupcakes, including a Bananas Foster version with banana filling, cinnamon icing and caramel.
Operating since 1992, the bakery offers inexpensive individual sweets as well as more costly custom cakes. Some items follow a specific schedule: Cuban bread is available on Saturdays after one, and Boston cream doughnuts appear Friday through Sunday. For a particular item or a larger occasion, check availability and allow time for the staff to confirm a preorder.
